Demian Park completed a PhD at Tufts University in Neuroscience, followed by postdoctoral training at Brandeis and MIT. He then worked as a scientist at Phylonix. He has studied the electrophysiology of Drosophila neurons, developed new methods for zebrafish screening, and studied voltage-gated calcium channels. As a research scientist in the Synthetic Neurobiology group, Demian works on novel optogenetic strategies for interfacing to the brain.
