Kiryl Piatkevich

Kiryl received an MSc in Chemistry from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. He then joined the Department of Anatomy and Structural Biology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine to work on the development of novel fluorescent proteins for advanced imaging techniques. Following the completion of his PhD Kiryl did a two year postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he developed near-infrared fluorescent probes for in vivo imaging. In the Synthetic Neurobiology group, he worked on novel methods of neural interfacing using synthetic biology. He then went on to a tenure-track faculty job at Westlake University.
