Paul Tillberg

Paul, as a Hertz Fellow, completed his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering at MIT. He worked on expansion microscopy, a novel way to map molecules and anatomy throughout extended cells and tissues, for which he won the Hertz Thesis Prize for his pioneering contributions. Before joining the Boyden lab, Paul completed a degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California in 2003 and several years later, instead of going to law school, completed another undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in Electrical and Materials Engineering. After graduation, Paul went on to become a Janelia Fellow.
